I live in Nashville, and think your posts are hilarious. I am very good friends with Noel Murray, and his wife (Donna Bowman) has a link to your blog on her blog. Dear “Jon,”
I stumbled across your blog while looking for the lyrics to “William the Pleaser.” Being a compulsive reader, I read the first part of the first thing on the page and stayed to read the rest of it. I was enjoying myself and enjoying your style and your refusal to take yourself seriously but finding most of the comments rather irritating. As I read on, I realized that the comments of the self important and occasionally idiotic people responding are probably part of the reward you get for doing this.
Then I got to the one about your date. And I had an epiphany… it was as if the voice of God spoke inside my head. You are not actually an overweight Christian boy with errectile dysfunction living in Knoxville but rather a small Asian woman in San Francisco who practices a very careless form of tepid paganism and has no political feelings at all. In fact, all you care about, what “gets your rocks off,” is inviting people to make absolute fools of themselves for your entertainment. Keep up the good work.

Although I have been a patron of internet blogs for over a decade now, I have seldom stumbled upon something so incredibly humorous and brilliantly written as the writings of “Jon Myers III”. I laughed so hard I urinated in my underpants…. just a little.
